Happy Happy Day!

It's only 8AM and I am already feeling the love on my birthday today - homemade birthday card love (two each from my boys), Hallmark card love, Twilight love (gag gift from Hoffdad although I take it very seriously ;)), and new perfume!

Oh... and did I mention the new Prius V I got last weekend?! Yep - Hoffmom's got a new station wagon an I'm not afraid to use it!

Holy smokes, folks… there were some serious ups and down during the illustration of these next letters… “Q” and “U” were NOT my best creative moments…

When Show N’ Tell Are Steps 2 and 3

Every Thursday night and Friday morning, Finn goes through the agonizing process of selecting and re-selecting what he will bring to school for Share Day. Usually, he picks some new participation honor he picked recently (i.e., soccer trophy) or his latest Lego creation. This past week, however, Finn decided to share something different…

Finn’s book, My Fat Cat, didn’t make much sense (...something about the cat being fat, but then he put a pan on his head, and suddenly was no longer fat.... wha?!???...), but I couldn’t have been more proud of his choice to share his creativity with his classmates. ;)

Seamus, It’s Time…

… to swim!!!!

Seamus has not really taken to the concept of swimming. Hair-washing still elicits a high-pitched whine and attempts to escape the tub. Regardless, Hoffmom decided it was time for my wee one to jump in with two feet (versus head first), shall we say ;)!

Although there were moments where he smiled, the high-pitched whine pretty much served as the soundtrack to the entire lesson… Coach Andre is for sure NOT getting paid enough for his ever-patient, ever-encouraging, ever-supportive services. ;)

Best. Candy. EVER.

At Buddy Evan’s superhero birthday party, the boys got a wonderous treat in their goody bags - It’s a gummy candy… it’s a finger puppet… it’s a super hero!!!

If they could have somehow turned it into a spinning top so it could battle other gummy superhero finger puppets, the boys would have passed out from excitement!

It’s Just Too Much… Or Is It?! :)

Hoffmom’s favorite dessert place just got a little sweeter…

First, they serve a cute and colorful array of macaroons…

(Although their stock is admittedly low here...)

Then there’s the mouthwatering gelato selection (which they also incorporate into mountainous shaved iced desserts with fresh fruit and condensed milk)…

Finally, there’s a truly unique assortment or mochi ice cream nuggets... (And yes, it IS hard to have just one.)

However during a recent visit, Hoffmom found that they’ve added freshly-baked, freshly-filled custom cream puffs to the menu…
